The University of Computer Science has several research and software development centers, including the Center for Industrial Informatics (CEDIN) whose main objective is to develop computer products and services for the automation of industrial processes, with a high added value. and that meet the needs and expectations of customers, enhancing specialized training and research. The center itself contains several lines of research such as Embedded Systems. In addition, it contains a Measurement and Acquisition System called Arex that allows the monitoring and control of medium and small complexity processes. The objective of the research is to develop a variable collection module through cameras for the Arex Measurement and Acquisition System. In the following work we propose to carry out an analysis of the most important concepts related to the proposed topic. The technologies and tools that should be used for the implementation and design of the module are determined after an extensive search and analysis, among which are the C ++ programming language, the Qt development framework, as a UML modeling language, the tool Visual Paradigm to model the diagrams of the system, the OpenCV library is also used to generate the variables necessary for the development of the module and the HTTP and RTSP communication protocols are selected. The proposed solution is exposed, defining the architecture of the system. The functional and non-functional requirements that the application will possess are defined. Finally, tests will be carried out on the system to guarantee the quality, efficiency and correct operation of the software.
