Resumen : Education has always been one of the most important branches in the development of a country. That is why the learning process should not be stopped, and under special situations it is necessary to look for alternatives that respond to the needs. Currently, distance education has been a solution to the new reality imposed by COVID-19, and in it, the use of mobile technology has played a leading role, allowing students and teachers access to other means of education, different from the conventional ones, but that at the same time bring important advances. Although it is not without limitations and negative aspects. The research was carried out through a qualitative descriptive methodology, which describes the use of mobile devices in distance education and its current implications. The objective of this research was to determine the use of mobile devices in the distance learning process. Based on the results obtained, it is concluded that the use of mobile devices enhances interaction inside and outside the classroom, stimulating exploration, communication, critical and reflective thinking.
