Desarrollo de la hoja de consulta de Pediatría del módulo Consulta Externa para el Sistema de Información Hospitalaria XAVIA HIS

Abstract

El XAVIA HIS es un sistema integrado de gestión de la información hospitalaria desarrollado en el Centro de Informática Médica de la Universidad de las Ciencias Informáticas. El sistema cuenta con el módulo Consulta Externa que gestiona todo lo referente a las consultas en un centro médico. El objetivo del presente trabajo es el desarrollo de la hoja de consulta de Pediatría del módulo Consulta Externa para el sistema XAVIA HIS para facilitar el trabajo de los médicos pediátricos, proveyéndoles un sistema que facilite la gestión de la información relacionada con los procesos de la especialidad de Pediatría dentro del área de Consulta Externa en instituciones de salud cubanas. Para el desarrollo de la solución, se identificaron los procesos asociados a esta rama de la medicina; se hizo un análisis acerca de los sistemas existentes en el mundo para identificar la existencia de los que pudieran solucionar la situación que se plantea y las tendencias que se siguen para su desarrollo, arrojando como resultado la necesidad de implementar una hoja de consulta que se adaptara al XAVIA HIS. Con la implementación de la hoja de consulta de Pediatría del módulo Consulta Externa para el sistema XAVIA HIS, se facilitará el manejo de toda la información referente a la misma, lo que posibilita el desarrollo del sistema de salud en Cuba, asegurará la integridad y seguridad de la información personal de los pacientes, lo que permitirá que la información registrada no se extravíe debido a que estará registrada de forma digital y permitirá optimizar el servicio que se le brinda al paciente, pues toda su información de salud se registrará en formato digital, estaría entendible y accesible en todo el momento de su atención.

The XAVIA HIS is an integrated hospital information management system developed at the Medical Informatics Centre of the University of Computer Science. The system has an Outpatient module that manages everything related to consultations in a medical center. The objective of this work is the development of the Pediatrics consultation sheet of the External Consult module for the XAVIA HIS system to facilitate the work of pediatric doctors, providing them with a system that facilitates the management of information related to the processes of the Pediatrics specialty within the External Consult area of Cuban health institutions. For the development of the solution, the processes associated with this branch of medicine were identified; an analysis was made of the existing systems in the world to identify the existence of those that could solve the situation that arises and the trends that are followed for its development, resulting in the need to implement a consultation sheet that is adapted to the XAVIA HIS. With the implementation of the Pediatrics consultation sheet of the External Consult module for the XAVIA HIS system, the management of all the information related to the same will be facilitated, which makes possible the development of the health system in Cuba, will ensure the integrity and security of the personal information of the patients, which will allow the registered information not to be lost due to the fact that it will be digitally registered and will allow the optimization of the service provided to the patient, since all the health information will be recorded in digital format, it will be understandable and accessible at all times of their care.
