Accommodation module for the university accommodation process, at the Universidad de Oriente

Abstract

Based on deficiencies detected that affect the quality of development in the management of information in the accommodation system of the "Julio Antonio Mella" headquarters at the Universidad de Oriente, in this research the theoretical and methodological foundations for the preparation are exposed of an accommodation module that allows automating the accommodation process at the “Julio Antonio Mella” headquarters, at the Universidad de Oriente. For the development of the research, theoretical methods such as historical–logical, analytical–synthetic and systemic–structural have been used, which have allowed the determination of the fundamentals in the design of the module during the development of the research process. In determining needs, empirical level methods such as interviews and surveys were used, which have made it possible to verify the problem, diagnose the problem and reach the conclusions of the work. The hosting module is made on the basis of Odoo, free, free and multiplatform management software that contains a set of applications fully integrated in a single software, due to the ease of work it offers and its great accessibility, this module will be applied in the accommodation area of the General Directorate of Student Residences, to automate the processes of the Accommodation Management System of the “Julio Antonio Mella” Headquarters at the Universidad de Oriente.
